The City Coots of White Rock Lake

Written by Jenani Tzhone, Illustrations by Serena Burrows

"The City Coots of White Rock Lake" was a message life spoke to me during a very difficult time. The "duck that flies in" was talking to a very cantankerous coot (me). In working through this story with a wonderful illustrator, the beauty of life has once again been revealed to me. Nature is truly speaking if we have ears to hear it.

Thank you in advance for reading and taking part in spreading my message through this book.

“For just like these tiny coots you’re more majestic than you know. Love is the cord that binds us as we help each other grow.”
